Opening Concert for Qatar-USA Year of Culture
At the beginning of 2021, Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra performed at the Opening Concert for the Qatar-USA Year of Culture. Although there was (and still is) a worldwide pandemic, rest assured that all the precautionary measures were taken to make the event safe. The Philharmonic was honoured to perform at such an important event in the presence of Her Excellency Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad Al Thani. The distinguished audience had the pleasure to listen to the famous orchestral works of Qatari and American composers such as, Dana Al Fardan, Nasser Sahim, James Horner, and George Gershwin.
